Rains expected in Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana; thunderstorm warning issued

Few spells of rain are likely over the National Capital Region (NCR) in the next eight hours, it was reported on Friday afternoon.

Rain is also likely in several parts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh with spells likely in Ambala, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Hisar in Haryana, and in Agra, Aligarh, Amethi, Faizabad, Ghazipur just to name a few in Uttar Pradesh.

The showers are likely to accompanied with lightning strikes for the next 18-24 hours.

Earlier, a 15-year-old boy was killed and his brother seriously injured when lightning struck them in the Baghrai area here, police said Friday.

The incident occurred Thursday evening when the duo was caught in rains while grazing cattle in Phulpur Mauri village, said Inspector Indradev.
