Heavy rains today brought respite to the people of Jammu from scorching heat during past one week. Rain preceded by heavy winds lashed Jammu city and its surroundings this afternoon bringing down the temperature appreciably. The maximum temperatures were hovering between 38.5 to 40.5 during past few days, they said.
