People of the state who contributed five MPs to the ruling BJP's kitty were extremely disappointed over the treatment meted out to the state in the rail budget, Pradesh Congress Vice President Suryakant Dhasmana said. "There is no provision in the rail budget even for the projects already sanctioned for Uttarakhand like Dehradun-Kalsi and Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail lines," he said.

He further said that while people of the state were expecting that at least one of the nine high speed trains announced in the budget today will come to Uttarakhand, unfortunately that did not happen. "The rail budget did not mention even a single high speed train for Uttarakhand," he added.
