Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today met a group of internet entrepreneurs and business leaders to discuss the "challenges and opportunities that lie ahead" and hailed the spirit of innovation demonstrated by them.

After the meeting, Gandhi said simple innovations are transforming the experience of ordinary people, be it in healthcare or financial services.

Gandhi's meeting with internet entrepreneurs and business leaders came close on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi launching the 'Digital India' campaign.

Congress has claimed that it was former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Rahul's father, who laid the foundation for turning India into an "IT superpower".
