Sonia Gandhi on Thursday had a very special message for the Congress party.

‘We have a new Congress president and on your behalf and my own I wish him all the best. He (Rahul Gandhi) is now my boss too. Let there be no doubt about that,’ the former Congress chief reportedly said during a Congress Parliamentary Party meeting on Thursday.

Talking about the future course of the party, Sonia said that ‘will work with like-minded parties to defeat BJP so India is restored to democratic, inclusive, secular, tolerant and economically progressive path.’

She also slammed the Narendra Modi government for 'maximum publicity, minimum government' and 'maximum marketing, minimum delivery.' 

Talking about the spike in communal tension in the country, she said that violence against minorities, Dalits not sporadic but is orchestrated to polarise society for narrow political gains.

She said that the Modi government was out of touch with reality, it lives propaganda and lies and PM's speech in the Lok Sabha evidence of this.
