Various local outfits including Rajya Raitha Sangha and Dalit Sangharsha Samiti today staged a protest in front of Vidhana Soudha (secretariat) in protest against two gates reportedly being locked, barring the entry of visitors.About 70 members of various organisations protested in front of the secretariat shouting slogans against the government for locking the two gates, the police said.Agni Shridhar, a local tabloid owner who participated in the protest said the Vidhana Soudha is not the property of Yeddyurappa, his ministers or party members. It belongs to the people of Karnataka. People cannot be debarred from entering the precints of Vidhana Soudha".All the agitators were taken into preventive custody.Prohibitory orders have been clamped in and around two km radius of Vidhana Soudha from October 11 to midnight of Oct 13 in view of the special assembly session convened to seek the crucial trust vote on October 11.
