A private helicopter on its way from Puducherry to Chennai made an emergency landing near Mahabalipuram today, police said.

The private helicopter hired by an oil company had developed a "technical snag" and landed on the private property of a Chennai-based realtor at Sulerikattukuppam near Mahabalipuram, over 50km from here.    

Police said only the helicopter's pilot was present during the incident.
