Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Prayag, Rae Bareli today
On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath had visited Rae Bareli to oversee preparations for the visit.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rae Bareli on Sunday, his first trip to the traditional seat of the Gandhi family, and will then proceed to Prayagraj to review preparations for the Kumbh Mela.
PM Modi will hold a public meeting in the Gandhi bastion and flag off the Humsafar Express, an official said. District officials said he would will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth Rs 1,100 crore during the visit.

UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said, "Sunday's visit to Allahabad will be a 'shankhnaad' (blowing of conch shell) or the 2019 Lok Sabha election."
