Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat, Army Chief MM Narvane, may also accompany the Prime Minister during this Diwali celebration.

Every year Prime Minister celebrates Diwali with soldiers 
Every year Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been visiting some of the country's borders to celebrate the festival of Diwali with the soldiers. PM Modi meets the jawans, spend time with them, and share sweets. PM Modi has earlier celebrated Diwali in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and other places among the soldiers.

PM celebrated Diwali here between 2016 and 2018
In 2016, the Prime Minister celebrated Diwali with Indian Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel stationed at Mana on the Indo-China border in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. In 2017, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the happiness festival with soldiers posted in Deepawali in the Gurez sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Similarly, in 2018, PM Modi celebrated Diwali with army personnel and ITBP personnel posted on the Chinese border in Uttarakhand.

Last year, Diwali celebrated among the soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir
The Prime Minister, who arrived in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time after the removal of Article 370 last year, celebrated Diwali among the soldiers posted in Rajouri district on Diwali's occasion. During this, the Prime Minister appreciated the soldiers' courage and bravery and gave his best wishes on Diwali's festival. While returning from Rajouri, PM Modi reached Pathankot Airbase and celebrated Diwali with Air Warrior and other personnel.

PM Modi also took stock of the fighters at the Pathankot airbase. Although this time, the Prime Minister's Diwali program has not been officially announced, this time, he may celebrate Diwali at Rajasthan's Jaisalmer border. The Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat and Army Chief MM Narvane may also accompany him.
