On his first visit to Mumbai after becoming the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on Monday interacted with state BJP leaders here this evening. Maharashtra Assembly polls are due later this year. "He came, he spoke, he conquered," said state BJP president Devendra Fadnavis while describing Modi's interaction with a small group of state and city party unit functionaries at a suburban hotel. Modi reached the venue shortly after visiting the BARC here.

"Modi discussed the party's poll preparedness. He also sought our opinion about functioning of the BJP-led government at the Centre," a state BJP spokesperson said after the meeting. "He was keen that those occupying the last rows should come forward and participate in the interaction," the spokesperson said.
