President Pratibha Patil will be visiting Amritsar on Wednesday to attend a function which is part of a campaign aimed at protecting the girl child and trees.Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the 'Nannhi Chhaon' campaign launched in Punjab will get a boost due to the President who would preside over the function here on October 6.Amritsar deputy commissioner Kahan Singh Pannu said the president would arrive at Rajasansi Airport the same day and go to the Golden Temple (Harmandhar Sahib). She will also visit the Jallianwalla Bagh to pay tribute to martyrs.
