President Pranab Mukherjee accepts UP Governor BL Joshi's resignation

President has accepted the resignation of Uttar Pradesh Governor BL Joshi.

The president has appointed Dr Aziz Qureshi, the Governor of Uttarakhand, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements for the office of the Governor of Uttar Pradesh are made, a Rashtrapati Bhavan release said.
