"Owing to the various reasons, there has been a problem in filling the gap between the demand of power and its availability in the state. Two hour load shedding in rural areas is the only way to tackle the situation," said an official.

Mahavitaran clarifies that as soon as the power situation changes the agricultural consumers will be supplied power for 8 hours during day and 10 hours at night.

Mahavitaran gets power from various sources including the Mahagenco. Mahavitaran attributed only 1,500 MW need based temporary load shedding in spite of having a power deficit of around 4000 MW.

The load shedding which the state has to face in the last few days will end soon, claims Mahvitaran.
