According to the official, 87 flights were delayed early in the morning for more than 15 minutes due to bad weather. Foggy conditions persisted for a couple of hours starting from around 0530 hours, he said.

At times, the runway visibility range was as low as 100 metres. The official, however, clarified that three Air India flights were diverted to Mumbai due to operational reasons.
