According to an English daily, four policemen, led by an inspector of Villupuram town station, went to watch Jyothika-starrer 36 Vayadhinile with a suspect in tow.

These policemen were investigating a case of bike theft. They went to nab the associate of the suspect only to be told by his neighbours that he would return after some time.

To kill the time, these policemen watched the movie with the alleged thief in cuffs.

A local journalist, who went to the theatre with his family reported, the incident.

Sources in police force admitted that if police teams are visiting localities away from their stations to nab a suspect and have no choice but wait to do so, they visit popular hangouts to kill time.
