After a search lasting around 10 days, police have managed to recover the knife that was allegedly used in the murder of a lady assistant professor at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) here.

Police said here today that the 11-inch knife was recovered about 200 metres from bushes near the quarter where the lady professor, Amrita Pancholi, was murdered on the night of December 17.

They said that the knife could help unravel the mystery behind the murder.

Police have arrested one driver, Anil Patel in connection with the murder as also one of his associate, Bhavesh Soni, who is alleged to have helped in destroying evidence.
