Police are keeping a vigil at comedian Raju Shrivastav's house here following threatening calls warning him not to crack jokes on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and Pakistan during his shows.
    
The family members of Raju living here have not sought for personal security till now but they would be provided police protection if they ask for it, officials said.

Raju often visits his family living in Nayaganj here.

Meanwhile, extra security had been provided to Raju in Mumbai and the state police are keeping a watch on his residence there.

The artist has also been asked to update the police about his whereabouts.

"In one or two shows, I have cracked some jokes on Pakistan's stand on terrorist Kasab," Shrivastav said on Friday.
    
He also added that it was my work to bring smile on faces of people and I would continue to crack jokes based on real life.
