While investigating the case of NIMS University director demanding sexual favours from an employee, the police have verified the female employee’s statements and found them to be true.

The police are now seeking some documents from the university after which they could take further action in the matter. The Chandwaji police had started investigation after recording the statements of a 22-year-old girl who was employed at the university as a tele-caller since March 2013.

The girl had informed the cops that in June, NIMS University director BS Tomar had started pressurising her for ‘friendship’.

The director tried to lure the girl by offering Rs15,000, air travel, hotel stay and other facilities, but the girl spurned his advances.

The director then started calling her frequently. “Based on the girl’s statements, we started investigation in the matter. We found that the girl’s statements are true,” said Ashok Kumar, SHO, Chandwaji police station.

Police revealed that the phone call details of the director and the girl were analysed and it was found that the director had made several calls on the girl’s numbers. The police also found details of the hotel room and the air ticket about which the girl had told in her statements. Now the police are trying to get some more documents pertaining to the case.

“We are trying to get some documents from the university regarding the girl’s stay as employee at the varsity. But the documents have not been provided as yet,” said police. Sources said that further action in the matter could be taken soon.
