NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit flood-affected areas of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh on Friday to assess the situation there.
    
Singh will visit relief camps in Surat, hit hardest by the floods in Gujarat, Nanded in Maharashtra and Hyderabad and review relief and rehabilitation efforts with state officials.
 
He will also make an aerial survey of flood-hit areas.
 
The prime minister's visit to these places comes close on the heels of similar visits by Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Home Minister Shivraj Patil to Andhra Pradesh and
Gujarat.
