West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday during which the issues of financial package for the state and UPA's Presidential candidate are likely to come up for discussion.
Trinamool Congress sources said the Prime Minister has invited Banerjee for a meeting on Wednesday, though the time has not been fixed yet.
The Prime Minister's invitation to Banerjee comes on a day when she is meeting Sonia Gandhi today. The issue of Presidential candidate is expected to figure during the meeting.
Banerjee, who is the chief of UPA's key ally Trinamool Congress, has been demanding a financial package for the state for quite some time now.
Party sources say Banerjee may suggest candidature of former Speaker Somnath Chatterjee for the Presidential poll and that of Krishna Bose, the niece of Subhash Chandra Bose for Vice Presidential election.
