Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the issue of terrorism at the World Economic Forum (WEF), calling it a big threat and ‘even a bigger threat if one draws the distinction as ‘good’ terrorism and ‘bad’ terrorism.’
Delivering a keynote address at the plenary session of the annual WEF meeting in Davos, the Prime Minister said, ‘Terrorism is dangerous. Worse is when people say there is a difference between 'good' and 'bad' terror. It is painful to see some youngsters getting radicalised.’
Prime Minister's comments on terrorism have come amidst reports that Pakistan won't allow United Nations Security Council’s (UNSC) sanctions monitoring team to have a direct access to UN-designated terrorist Hafiz Saeed.
Earlier, the Prime Minister got a standing ovation as he arrived at the venue.
Here's how BJP leaders reacted to PM Modi's speech at Davos:

PM @narendramodi's speech at @wef plenary in Davos is a reason of pride for all Indians. He has perfectly articulated India's strengths and aspirations in the multi-conceptual world! PM @narendramodi superbly invokes how Indian culture has always believed in uniting, not dividing. Our scriptures, written thousands of years ago, speak about 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'.
We are all united by our shared destinies! PM @Narendramodi has raised his voice against terrorism at every global forum. At @wef too, he gives a clarion call to the world, to unite to defeat the menace of terrorism.

It wasn't speech of a political leader but that of a statesman, a global leader. He also talked about what India is doing. He gave a message that we are here not only to speak but what we speak is transformed into action.

I think PM lived up to expectations of the entire world community. He asked the world to come together & also lived up to the expectation of offering a lead to world community to discover their future.

PM has a vision of creating a new India by 2022, He is saying that why not create a new World at the same time when we create a new India. That is the substance of his speech, 'New World with New India'.
