Adnan and his wife Roya welcome their daughter Medina in May. The whole family met Modi and offered sweets which they brought from the city of Medina. Modi spent 40 minutes with the Pakistan-origin Indian singer and bonded well with the singer's daughter.

“Sharing the sweets of our first born daughter Medina with the Prime Minister whom I respect and look upto was an emotional moment for me and my wife... we will cherish this moment all our life,” said Adnan.

The well-established singer-composer drew a lot of criticism in Pakistan when he acquired Indian citizenship in 2016. He first arrived in India in 2001 on a visitor's visa.
