PM Modi's security reviewed after threat letter from 'ISI commandant'
A letter threatening PM Modi was found on March 17.
On March 17, the driver of a train travelling from Chennai to Jammu stopped the wagon midway in Agra to avoid ramming into a boulder. But underneath the rock he found a letter in Hindi threatening PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
According to an India Today report, a sweeping security review was ordered following this incident. The letter was signed by a Mohammad Mirza, 'ISI commandant'.
The report also says that a similar threat, sent using the same name, was found at Cantt station in Agra in 2016.
The incident has raised an alarm as within the week of the letter being found, two low intensity blasts occurred in Cantt station.
Police say that one was caused due to a tyre bust of a tractor trolley another happened after a crude bomb was thrown on the tin roof of a house.
Intelligence agencies have been alerted to get information related to VIP security in Delhi and closely monitor movement of "inimical elements" towards the capital.
Several train accidents including the Indore-Patna Express and Ujjain-Bhopal Express are being probed to check for involvement of terrorists in the incident.
