Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that if the PM's chair could have been purchased in auction, Trinamool Congress would have bought the post with the money looted from chit fund scams.

"Speedbreaker didi (Mamata Banerjee) aspires to be the PM but she doesn't know that the chair of PM is not available on sale or else either the TMC or the Congress would have bought it with the money they had looted," Modi said at a rally in Asansol on Tuesday, where he was campaigning for his party candidate Babul Supriyo.

Addressing a handsome gathering at Polo Ground, Modi raised issues of Citizenship Amendment Bill, infiltration and cross border smuggling of cows.

He alleged that West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee was losing support base in her state. "She has to change her rallies into marches because of the poor turnout and to woo people she has to bring in actors from foreign countries to campaign for her candidate. Didi seeks proof of air strike on Pakistan but her officers are busy destroying proofs of Saradha, Narada and Rose Valley scams," he said.

He scoffed at Mamata saying that she intended to replicate her West Bengal model in the rest of the country, whereas the Bengal model comprises extortion, coal mafia, sand mafia and land mafia. "Her model involves letting in infiltrators into the country who later gets a share of the state's resources."

He said that youths in Bengal don't get jobs and if they do, they don't get paid and if they get paid there is no increment or dearness allowance paid to them. "Does the country need a model like this?" he asked.

Referring to the Balkote airstrikes, Modi said the country needs a government with "vision and not division", "The new India wants safety and dignity. It is with the power of your votes that army jawans can carry out airstrikes, that in space enemy satellites can be hit. So don't you need a strong government? Only a strong chowkidar can provide a strong government," he said.

He hit out Banerjee for seeking proof of it. "When our brave soldiers killed terrorists in Pakistan, Mamata Banerjee was one of those who had asked for proof. She should stop seeking proof of air strikes and seek proof against infiltration and chit fund intead," he said.
