JAMMU: With two days left for Amarnath Yatra to commence, Army has foiled a plan of militants to target the pilgrims by recovering six kg of RDX and other explosives from the outskirts of the town.

On a specific information, troops launched a search operation in Makwal area last night and recovered six kgs of RDX, defence officials said on Wednesday.

Besides this, four hand grenades and one chinese pistol, were also among the recoveries dumped in an agriculture field, they said.

The explosive and arms cache were meant to target Amarnath pilgrims which is scheduled to commence from June 30 from Jammu - the base camp of yatra, they said.
