Lok Janshakti Party president Ramvilas Paswan today had a dig at Delhi chief minister Sheila Dixit for making 'anti-Bihari remarks' which he described as 'irresponsible'.

Paswan told reporters here that the Congress leadership should take Dixit's remarks that 'Biharis are responsible for all the ills plaguing Delhi' seriously.

"Delhi is the nation's pride and her statement is against the country's unity and integrity," Paswan said.

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi too had flayed Dixit for making the comments which, they said, reflected her 'narrow mindedness ... as all citizens of the country have full rights on Delhi'.

Asked about LJP's failure to win a single seat in the recent Jharkhand elections in alliance with the RJD, Paswan said the party's vote percentage had increased.
