Two persons were injured after 20 robbers beat them and other passengers of Ahmedabad-Howra Express and looted over Rs6000 from them before escaping between Udhna and Bardoli railway station today, police said.The incident took place after the train had left Udhna station in Surat district, they said.According to the railway police, some 20 robbers entered the general compartment of the train from Udhna railway station and started beating up passengers and demanded money from them.Two persons sustained grievous injuries, while others who were beaten up received minor bruises, police said.After looting the cash, the robbers jumped out of the compartment while the train was moving slowly between Udhna and Bardoli station and escaped, they added.A complaint has been registered at the Bardoli railway police which is investigating the matter, police said.
