A crowded passenger train today derailed after running over a bull sitting on the tracks on the outskirts of the city, disrupting rail traffic in Ludhiana-Dhuri section of Northern Railway for several hours.
    
Two wheels of the third compartment of Ludhiana-Hissar-Jakhal passenger train jumped the tracks after it trampled the bull, a railway spokseman said.

However, no one was injured in the train carrying commuters from Malerkotla, Dhuri and Mandi Ahmadgarh, he said.

Traffic on the route was restored after four hours.
