The opposition parties have refused to change stance even after the government indicated constitution of a 30-member JPC, chaired by a representative of the ruling alliance.
“The ruling combine is not accepting a JPC probe because it has something to hide, and this serves our purpose,” a senior BJP MP said, adding that when more than 200 MPs were favouring a JPC, the government should not stand on false prestige.
