All ports in Gujarat along with the entire security apparatus including the Border Security Force are on high alert after intelligence inputs that trained commandos from Pakistan would infiltrate Indian territory through the Gulf of Kutch via Harami Naka creek to create communal disturbance or carry out a terror attack.

It has alerted private companies along the coast and the area is under enhanced vigil and patrolling."We have already deployed Central Reserve Police Force personnel and heightened security measures on the ports after receiving inputs from security agencies," said Mukesh Kumar, vice-chairman and CEO of Gujarat Maritime Board.Adani Ports and Logistics has instructed its shipping agents and all other stakeholders to take measures to "mitigate hostile attacks" with the "highest state of readiness" and report any suspicious person, vessel or activity to the marine control station and port operation centre immediately."Any suspicious activities by individuals, vessels, crafts or boats approaching towards the coast are to be tracked continuously and information to be disseminated to all concerned," an advisory read.
