The members of the outfit were also demanding Rs 25 lakh compensation for each of the refugee families. "The successive state governments have turned a blind eye towards our demand of permanent rehabilitation including grant of Rs 25 lakh compensation to each of refugee family," said Capt Yudhvir Singh Chib president of POKDP.

He said that in the upcoming Assembly polls his organisation will field its own candidates. "During election campaigns leaders of various political parties come and make promises, but as soon as they come to power they forget all the promises," Chib claimed.

"We have decided to field our own candidates in the upcoming Assembly polls," he said.
