The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (MSA) has apprehended 56 Indian fishermen and seized ten of their boats near Jakhau port off the Gujarat coast, secretary of the National Fishworkers' Forum said here today. "The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency had, late last night, apprehended 56 Indian fishermen along with their ten boats near Jakhau port off the Gujarat coast at Arabian sea," Secretary of National Fishworkers' Forum (NFF) Manish Lodhari told PTI.

"Eight boats are from Porbandar, while two others are from Okha and Mangrol, which have been apprehended from Indian territorial waters. This has been the third major incident of apprehending Indian fishermen by Pakistan since September," Lodhari said.

Earlier, Pakistan had apprehended 55 fishermen along with their eight boats near Jakhau port, off the Gujarat coast on October 2.

On September 27, the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency had apprehended 27 fishermen along with their five boats off the Gujarat coast.
