Pakistani army choppers on Wednesday came within 300 mts of the Line of Control (LoC) but did not violate the Indian airspace and returned to their side in Poonch sector of Jammu division. At 9.45 am, Indian army troops noticed the rotary wing choppers hovering on the other side of the LoC.

Under the agreed norms between the two sides, a rotary wing aircraft should not venture within one kilometre of LoC, while a fixed wing aircraft should remain 10 km away from the LoC. "Though the choppers did not violate the airspace on Wednesday, it was a breach of agreed norms," said an officer.
Meanwhile, Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Devraj Anbu visited Rajori and Sunderbani sectors to review security.
