'Our vehicle will get dirty': Two teens bleed to death after Uttar Pradesh police refuses to help

In a shocking incident, two teenagers were left to die by the Saharanpur police in Uttar Pradesh as they did not want blood stains to soil the interiors of their patrol car.

The class X students — Arpit and Sunny — were injured after their bike hit an electric pole and the teenagers were flung into a drain along the road.

The police apathy came to light when a video recorded by a passerby went viral.

The bystanders were seen pleading to police, however, the police were unmoved.

The police refused to act even when they were told that the can be washed. "Where will we sit the whole night if our vehicle gets dirty?," the police reportedly said.

Another police vehicle arrived at the sport, however, it was too late. The victims were declared dead on arrival at a hospital.

The accused policemen - Inderpal Singh and constables Pankaj Kumar and Manoj Kumar - have been suspended and further action will be taken after an inquiry.

"Our men allegedly refused to get medical help. A video is viral. Prima facie, it seems the allegations are true," said Saharanpur city police chief Prabal Pratap Singh said.

Arpit's father Rakesh Khurana said that his won would have been alive if those policemen had shown some mercy.
