One person was killed in an explosion which occurred while he was offloading explosive chemicals at a private fireworks factory near Sivakasi today.
Police said the loadman Karuppasamy (35) was offloading the explosive chemicals from a tri-cycle when some friction occurred, leading to the explosion.
He died on the spot, police said.
