In yet another incident of man-animal conflict, one person died and five others were injured as bears attacked them in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag and Kulgam districts today, police said.One person was killed when a bear, which had descended to human habitation from nearby forests, attacked him at Batkote in Anantnag, 60km from Srinagar, they said.In another incident, five persons were injured when a bear attacked them at Khull village in Kulgam, about 75km from Srinagar, police said.Bear attacks in Kashmir Valley have been on the rise in the past few months as the animals are coming down to human habitation due to low temperature and scarcity of food in the forests.Five such attacks had taken place in the last three days, resulting in one death and injuries to 16 others.
