UDHAGAMANDALAM: The inaugural edition of Vegetable Show, organised by Horticulture Department, as part of attracting more tourists, was held at Kothagiri, about 20 KMs from here, on Saturday.

A 15-foot high and six-foot in diameter carrot, made of 6,000 carrots, was one of the major attraction at the show, which was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Khadi minister, D.Ramachandran.

Other attractions included an eight feet tall 'cup and saucer' made of 5,000 coronation flowers.

The one-day show has 20 stalls, with vegetable carvings, rangoli with vegetables and awareness and information about HIV/AIDS displayed through vegetables.

All types of vegetables were on the show.
