Omar's surrender proposal will encourage secessionism: BJP leader

Expressing surprise over Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah's surrender policy for militants held across the LoC, state BJP today said the step will only encourage secessionism and terrorism in the state."Bringing back trained ultras is a very serious matter and this would have many legal and other complications as several of them have not only received training in terrorist activities but also have families there," Gupta said in a statement here today.Union home minister, P Chidambaram, ignoring the fearsof former chief minister and the Union health minister GhulamNabi Azad is unfortunately supporting the move, Gupta said.        Ridiculing the suggestion of Chidambaram that PoK is legally a part of India, the BJP leader said Chidambaram is overlooking the fact that this part of the state is under Pakistan's occupation and is being used for sixty years for subversive activities against India.
