Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday stated that the state budget is pro-farmer, pro-poor, pro-women, pro-SC/ST, pro-youth and is development oriented budget.

In a statement, he said, "I am happy that adequate provisions have been made for KALIA, Kalia Scholarships, Our universal health scheme - Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, scholarships for SC-ST students, our popular Rural Development programme AMA GAON AMA BIKAS, social security programmes - Madhubabu Pension Yojana, housing, drinking water, electricity for all."

Patnaik also expressed his happiness about the special focus on grounding the 'Make in Odisha' commitments, employment generation, and revenue generation.

He added, "This budget will help us to continue with our good work. We believe in actual work, not just promises and our work does the talking."
