Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a new attack front against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday and registered a delayed protest against the decision to stop serving non-vegeterian food to economy class passengers of Air India's domestic flights.

"Air India does not serve non-vegeterian food in economy class. Only business class passengers are entitled to have chicken. Why will Modi babu decide what others will eat?" the firebrand leader lashed out when addressing a public meeting at Kandi in Murshidabad.

She then charged Modi with ruling the country by "unleashing a reign of fear", Banerjee said that the country has never seen a prime minister like Modi who is feared by everyone "instead of being loved and respected".

She later came out in support of Opposition leaders and claimed, "It is a shame that BJP is using central agencies against opposition leaders and parties to harass them. Yesterday, the Income Tax (department) without any reason raided Kanimozhi's house."

To the people of Murshidabad she said that in spite of there being no TMC MP, the government had done a lot of developmental work in the district whereas 'MPs were seen more at resorts than at their constituencies'.

She added, "The BJP is trying to divide the people in the name of religion. They are using it as a tool to divide the masses in Bengal. The culture of Bengal never supports politics of violence."
