Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday met the family of Kamlesh Tiwari, the Hindu Samaj party leader who was murdered at his office in Lucknow on Friday, and promised justice into the case.

The family, however, did not appear very satisfied after the meeting with the chief minister. Kusum Tiwari, the mother of the murdered leader, said that a lot of pressure was being exerted on the family.

She added that they were not satisfied despite getting assurances from Yogi Aditynath.

Adityanath met Tiwari's family at his official residence in Lucknow. The chief minister could not meet the family on Saturday as he was in Maharashtra for the assembly election campaign and returned to the state in the evening.

Speaking after the meeting with Yogi Adityanath, the mother said, "We are not satisfied. There is a lot of pressure on us. We were forcibly taken to Lucknow by the police to meet the UP CM."

She warned that if the family does not get justice, they will take the law into their hands and punish the killers themselves.

Kusum Tiwari had on Saturday lashed out at the police and alleged that her son had been killed by a local politician.

The wife of Kamlesh Tiwari, however, struck a different note and said the family has been assured by the chief minister of justice

"He (UP CM) assured us that justice will be done. We demanded capital punishment for the murderers. He assured us that they will be punished," Kiran Tiwari said.

On Saturday, Kamlesh Tiwari's son Satyam had demanded a probe by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) into the killing, saying that "they do not trust anyone."

Speaking to Zee News, Satyam said, "We want the National Investigation Agency to investigate the case, we do not trust anyone."

He had said that his family is getting threats and efforts are being made to suppress their voice.

Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Kumar 'Lallu' also met the family of Tiwari at their home in Sitapur.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Police in a major breakthrough has identified two suspected killers and recovered some clothes that are believed to be used by them on the day of the crime when Hindu Samaj Party leader was attacked at his office.

Cops have also recovered a bag from a hotel where the two suspects were staying in Lucknow. Both things have been recovered from Lucknow's Khalsa Inn hotel.

After receiving information about some saffron clothes and a bag from Lucknow's Khalsa Inn hotel, police reached the spot and seized all these items. Further investigation in the case is underway.

On Saturday, the Gujarat ATS had detained three people in the case who later confessed to the crime. A court in Ahmedabad has granted 72 hours transit remand for the three accused to be brought to Lucknow.

The probing agencies are also investigating Pakistani link in the Kamlesh Tiwari murder case. The investigation in the case is being done by UP police, Gujarat ATS. Also, an SIT has been formed to investigate the case.
