There was no respite from cold wave in frontier region of Ladakh even as minimum temperature rose in rest of Jammu and Kashmir today.
   Kargil and Leh in Ladakh region recorded minimum temperature of minus 10 degree Celsius and minus 8.2 deg C against minus 13 deg C and minus 6 deg C yesterday, Met officesaid.
   However, people in Kashmir valley got some respite from the intense cold as Srinagar, summer capital of the state, recorded a low of 2.6 deg C against 0.8 deg C yesterday.
   Mercury also rose in Qazigund and settled at 1.2 deg C, while Kokernag recorded a low of 2.8 deg C. Kupwara had a minimum of 0.1 deg C.
   Famous hill resorts of Gulmarg and Pahalgam recorded a low of minus 3.3 deg C and minus 1.4 deg C respectively.
   Jammu recorded a low of 13.6 deg C against 13.4 yesterday.
 Katra had a low of 11.3 deg C followed by Batote at 5.9 deg C. Bhaderwah and Banihal had a minimum of 5 deg C and 2.4 deg C respectively.
