No pressure from JD(U) on conceding seats in Bihar: BJP

BJP today asserted that its decision to contest 105 of 243 seats in Bihar assembly election was final and ruled out any pressure from the JD(U) to reduce the number.       "There is no no pressure from the JD(U) leadership to concede even a single seat it contested in 2005 in alliance,"state BJP president, Dr CP Thakur told reporters. BJP had contested 103 of the 243 seats while it had entered into a friendly fight with the JD(U) in two assembly constituencies-- Belaganj and Chakai in 2005, leaving the rest of the seats to JD(U).He, however, admitted that negotiation was continuing on swapping of seats because of the delimitation of constituencies."Winnability will be the basis for taking a decision on the issue," Thakur added.       He said the exercise for thorough seat-wise analysis had begun and names of seats would be announced shortly.
