Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary on Wednesday clarified that the government has made no plans to create separate zones for Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Chaudhary denied reports of the government building composite townships for Kashmir Pandits in the Valley.Chaudhary's statement comes after Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had last month assured Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh that his government would immediately start the process of creation of townships for the return of Kashmiri Pandits .However, Mufti's statement came under flak from all quarters, with the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, the Hurriyat and former chief minister Omar Abdullah among those criticising the proposed move. Later, Mufti assured the state assembly that he will take all the stake holders into confidence before implementing the scheme.
