NEW DELHI: Delhi police on Thursday withdrew its plea to conduct narco-analysis test on Rahul Mahajan, accused in a high-profile drug abuse case.

Police told Special Judge S N Gupta that at this point of the investigation they did not wish to conduct narco-analysis tests on Rahul, but wished to press their request for subjecting him to brain-mapping tests.

Rahul was arrested on June 5 for illegal possession of drugs in small quantity for personal consumption, consuming and procuring drugs, allowing premises to be used for consuming drugs, abetment and criminal conspiracy (NDPS), besides destruction of evidence under the IPC.
