"I don't know where else to look for her. We have asked friends and relatives and searched all probable places that she could have gone but in vain," said Suresh Patel, Vishwa's father. Vishwa is the only child of Suresh and Priti Patel.

Patel said Vishwa had gone to attend a marriage in their building. "She then went out to play with her friends, but left them saying she had to get her dupatta. She took the dupatta and then went downstairs but is untraceable since then," said Sanjay Joshi, a human rights activist who has been helping with the case.

He said the girl's parents had earlier seen two unfamiliar girls near the place where Vishwa was last seen. "One of them lives in Abu and had come here to be with her aunt who lives in the same building as Vishwa," said Joshi. Incidentally, there is some confusion about what Vishwa was wearing on the day she went missing. "Family members said she was wearing a green salwar kameez, while people at the function said she was dressed in pink," said Joshi.
