NF Railway's Chief Public Relations Officer S Lahiri said it was actually a false alarm raised by an alert Station Master at Kaithalkuchi station in Kokrajhar district.

"The Station Master had mistaken the red LED light of the speed sensor located in the under gear of a coach as a spark of fire and had stopped the train yesterday," he said.

The train was checked at Kaithalkuchi station and again at Rangia railway station of officials who allowed it to run after confirming that nothing untoward had occurred, Lahiri said.
