Nitin Gadkari goes under knife to cut flab
Gadkari met with an accident near Ramtek a few years ago after which he started gaining weight.
After his several attempts to lose weight, Bharatiya Janata Party’s national president Nitin Gadkari finally went under the knife on Monday at Saifee Hospital in Mumbai.
A senior obesity surgeon from the hospital performed the operation. “He was hospitalised two days before the surgery and was operated on Monday. He is doing fine,” said a hospital source.
According to senior BJP leaders, 53-year-old Gadkari has been grappling with his weight problem for some years but decided to take it seriously soon after he was regarded a serious contender for the party president’s job. Gadkari had tried workouts, yoga and a rigorous weight loss programme.
