The campus placements at National Institute of Design (NID) got over on Friday. On the last day of the placements some 15 companies from across India offered jobs to the design students.

Coordinator of the placement at NID Prof Sujitha Nair said in total more than 80 companies made offers to the design students this placement seasons. She said, on Friday some of the companies that offered jobs include Tata Motors, VIP Industries, Logitech and Naukari.com. The companies interviewed some 85 students at NID's Gandhinagar campus.

"Placement season this year has been very good. Number of jobs and variety of jobs offered to students suggest that the market movements are encouraging. The fact that of the total companies- around 40% of companies were new comer thus indicating that demand of recruiting NID students is picking up," she said.

So far, the highest package offered to the NID student remains ES 11.07 lakh offered by Bajaj Auto. Nair said the final details of the placements will be announced by Monday.
