The director of India's premier design institute will be presented with the award at UCA Farnham's graduation ceremony on June 29, at Guildford Cathedral in UK.

Director of the National Institute of Design (NID), Pradyumna Vyas, has been will be awarded by the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in UK, with an honorary Master of Arts degree, in recognition of his contribution to design education and promotion.
The director of India's premier design institute will be presented with the award at UCA Farnham's graduation ceremony on June 29, at Guildford Cathedral in UK.
Speaking about the award, Prof Vyas said, "I am extremely honoured to receive this award and to be recognised by the UCA at a time when India is set to celebrate 50 years of formal design education at NID." He said that this is a form of great encouragement to collaborative research and for bringing a global perspective to design for inclusive and sustainable growth.
Speaking about Vyas, pro vice-chancellor and executive dean at UCA, Paul Coyle, said, "Professor Pradyumna Vyas is a well-respected designer who cares very deeply for higher education. We are delighted to award him with an honorary degree and I am sure he will be an inspiration to our graduating students."
